    • 1. Make sure it's the only login module published.

      2. 'Above the fold', the login module should be visible when the page loads without havign to scrll down to see it, so at the top on the left or right would be good.
    • Thanks,

    • Jem, thanks buddy that's great and where they'll stay!

Do you know how it would be possible to make it like this (I am guessing I'll have to edit stylesheet)

      1. Exchange username & password with name & email address

      2. Kill the Remember me checkbox

      3. Edit login button for well something like send or something

      4. kill forgot username and password questions

      5. make the behaviour such that on entering aname and email address the visitor is just met with either nothing or a thanks page..

      sorry for all the questions!

      best

      Al

    • What version of joomla are you using?

Please check reply #6, you should have similar configuration options.

As far as the other changes, I think you're crossing the line between registration and using a contact form; trying to make an 'apple' out of an 'orange'.

A login module is connected to a registration page, if a visitor is not registered, they register at your site.

Doing so allows them to login when the visit, or receive e-mails, newsletters, etc when you send them out to registered users.

Changing the login module to 'name' and 'e-mail' wont capture the info you want, they have to register first.

You could use a contact page to capture their name and e-mail address, but I'm not sure exactly what you want to do.
    • Thanks,

    • Hey dude - 1.5 is what i am using.
Yeah, I kinda think you're right - I am trying to squeeze too much outta the mod... still with a bit of jiggery pokery I might be able to
      use it to some degree..
failing that make a tiny little contact form instead

right man thanks everso much for all the hassles, i'll go play!

      Be well!
