Cool. Let me ask you one more question...
Is it possible to remove a joomla template completely, keep the discussion board and reinstall a complete joomla website?

do you just mean change the template? if so, yes. just add a new one and make it the default
or do you mean a new joomla site and keep the discussion board/forum? that is also possible, but will mean a bit of work if its something like fireboard

Well, almost. You see, I wanted to download the exact copy of the template as seen, but usually they require a totally blank site (with no joomla at all). Since I'm new to this, i was thinking if I removed the installation file, then I can load the exact template without over reinstalling the joomla.
Does that make any sense?

yes. you want the demo site but you want to include your existing forum, i'm guessing?
it is possible although i've not done it before. i suspect it will involve adding the user database and transferring across all the tables related to the forum, if it is fireboard, which i'm just guessing for now..
it's not such a difficult job and as long as you've got backups it will just be a case giving it a go, in a development environment. - www.c3p0.se - sweden
