An EBook for the purpose of tracking contact info

    • The gentleman I am working with has some interesting requests. But I believe this is the last one. He has a pdf ebook that he would like on his site so that he can track who is visiting and get contact info on them.

Here's his official request. (I'm using the Vertigo template): "Lets have a capture page and a one time send to the requester. The link can go where the search link is on the upper right (Replace it)

      Wording: Free Ebook Click Here

Let's ask for their name, email (once) and Phone# on capture page with standard .....we will not share this info with anyone statement..."

None of this is a problem.....except, how would you approach the capture page (or box)? Is there a component out there that does something like this or would you use a form? And if you would use a form, how do you make it a one-time send to the requester and how would you get the ebook to open once they clicked submit?

By the way, I use RS Forms Pro if you're familiar with it. But I'm open to ideas.

    • I just found an answer for the opening of the ebook with a return URL. But not sure how to make it a one time send (like when one has already answered a poll).

Since we're at the water cooler, let me explain that I'm obviously not techy as all of you, but I try to do what I can. I'm actually a medical student trying to use projects to help graduate as debt-free as possible. There's a scholarship that pays for a part of it....I'm working for the rest. Once debt-free, the plan is to work in underprivileged places or in mission fields for people who cant afford medical care. About ten years ago, I wanted a medical website, so I built it...which is how I got involved in all this in the first place.
