Commuity Builder and Joomlaboard help

    • I am building a site with an online community. I'm using joomla 1.5.8 (legacy), cb 1.2, and Joomlaboard (the latest version). the community builder side works well. I get profiles and everything. However when I try to bring up the forum, I get an error message:
      undefined method database::getAffectRows() line 190

      Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this? Or is there any place that has a tutorial on Joomlaboard. I looked all over and nothing. Please Help.

      Thank You.

    • So I checked out the post. I'd already seen that one, and since I just updated to Joomla 1.5.8, from the earlier version, I figure whatever files were missing (if any) should have been loaded with the update. This is my first community site, and I'm wondering if this is a good combination (cb, joomla 1.5, joomlaboard). I've read up on fireboard, and ppb33 and the other forums. Is there an easier forum to ad to my site that intergrates with cb?

    • fireboard is integrated with cb and it works in legacy mode and its better than joomlaboard ..
      phpbb3 is the best out there and can be integrated with joomla thru rokbridge but i dont know about phpbb and cb ..

    • I've read a couple of post on Fireboard and I thought it couldn't be intergrated with community builder (but I noticed in CB there is a Fireboard plugin) I'll try anything right now. Where can i get the Rocbridge. And is there any special settings that are needed to make jommla and fireboard work together.

    • no .. joomla and fireboard works easily since fireboard is just a component just like joomlaboard .. and all u have to do is installing fireboard .. then in its options, there are 2 options for integrating it with cb .. chose them and ur done ..
      and to read about rokbridge and download it visit

    • I'm not sure how well it works with CB... phpBB3 is not hard to implement if you read Karol's step-by-step tutorials :)

    • Where can I find this tutorial? This has been driving me nutts. I was testing fireboard with CB and I got these backslashes every time there was a ' so don't looked like don/'t. Then I tried phpBB3, but on the phpbb forums there were a lot of posts about how phpbb didn't fully integrate with CB. There were a few hacks, but nothing was smooth. I'm not a programmer so a nice smooth process really would be nice. Then I tried SMF and everything seemed to work with jfusion except the dual login problems that still exist. So far the fireboard integration was the best the profiles synced up nicely, but the backslash thing is not attractive. I read some post on how to get rid of them and nothing worked. This tutorial would help me greatly.

    • "backslashes every time there was a ' so don't looked like don/'t"

      I think that has something to do with encodings. Most people on the net uses ' instead of ยด so most people don't notice this issue.
