    • Hi Rocketteers!

Since few hours I don't have anymore the top bar in the backend :o
I can't access the module, mambots and other features. If I want to change something in the components or contents I cannot apply any modification... :-\ :'( ???

I'm waiting to see if the issue is just for few moment... but I'm very stressed!
It's not a problem with the server since I have several joomla sites in the same one and the other sites are running well.
Do you think it's a crash of the DB? Someone has experimented somethiing similar?

    • Franck,
Maybe you could try overwriting your Administrator template folder by FTP.

Yes I tried too. Infortunatly this solution doesn't work. But thanks to try to help me.

I really don't know how I can solve this issue. I read several forums and found other peoples with same problem. Someone has solved with a backup of the DB. I tried with several backup but without success.

    • Can you tell us what you did before this began to happen. It could be related to that. Did you acidentally delete any files, install a new component or module? More info would help us provide an answer, Frank.

Hello Dave, I did not install, delete or modify anything. In the morning I just write and published a new article (without any code like javascript or html) and after everything seems good untill this afternoon. When I opened the backend, I didn't see the top bar. I don't understand what's happen.
If the fact to reinstall the DB (from yesterday and 2 days ago) don't work, I'm afraid to have lost a lot of job (around 420 hours :P ).
      It's very stange :-\

    • I will try to install theDB and all the files in a new domain just to have a better view of the issue; and to be sure that the problem will continue in another domain or not.

That's a good idea, Franck. If you are really stuck, there are a few folks in the RT community that may be able to help. The heavy hitters are:

      Thomas Neilsen
      Kevin DuCummon
      Arifin
      Youyou

There may be others as equally as knowledgeable, but I just know these great guys. (list is not according to ability).

    • Have you tried a different browser? IE and FireFox for example? I know it sounds odd but sometime it can be browser specific.

Also I'm sure I have read on the main joomla boards of people having this issue before. I'm nots ure how they fixed it though - but it's certainly worth looking for.

    • Really dumb question: Is javascript disabled in your browser?
I know that this will make a difference and make all kinds of stuff stuff dissapear in the back end............
Or perhaps you installed something that has a javascript conflict................This may prevent something from loading correctly...
Just a shot in the dark Franck..... ???
See the screenshots one with javascript and one without........
