Question re Home Page Display of Articles
Posted 16 years 3 months ago
I am currently building a website at
members.nswspc.jhonline.net
. The article in the centre column that is currently visible on the Home page is visible to the Public. There are other articles that become visible in the centre column when you login. Is there a way of not displaying the pre-login article once a person has logged in, but showing all the other articles?
Hi John - looks like we're in the same place geographically - imagine that.
There's not really a way to do what you're after except with a little custom code.
What you could try is creating a custom module holder that is bracketed by a little bit of code which looks for a user's id. If no id, display the module holder, if id don't.
That's probably the easiest way I can think to get around the problem.

Thanks for that unfortunate bit of news. For once, I was hoping that I had just missed something in the Joomla Admin section.
(This part of Australia is one of the coolest (temperature-wise) places in Australia at the moment. 40+C down south and only high 20s up here - upside down, really!!)
