    Trouble Accessing Features in Administrator!

Posted 16 years 3 months ago
    • Hello Joomla! Geniuses,

I'm having a problem that I don't quite understand and am hoping for some direction.

I have a developer in India who is working with me (I'm in US) who is having repeated issues with accessing functions within the administrator. We are using the exact same login and password info and while I'm able to login and have full functionality each and every time, every time he logs in he is randomly (and 9 times out of 10 is not able to vs. able to) able to access functionality within the administrator. The menu options are frozen for him and the images of the main menu items are not accessible and the function itself is frozen for him.

He has tried to access the administrator from a handful of different locations and on at least three different computers and is experiencing the same issue on all. I've also given him the login info for a few of my other sites and he experiences the same issues with all of them, while I experience no issue on my end and it's regardless of template used.

I've attached an image of what he is getting on the main administrator page. Along with the image not showing up, each of the icons are frozen for him, as well as all of the drop down menu options.

Does anyone have any idea as to why he is having this issue and not me and how we can remedy it?

Thanks for your time and guidance in this matter.

      Tamara

    • It's REALLY hard to diagnose something like this from a screenshot - and no, I won't log into your server without being able to send you an invoice. But I do have an observation ...

What's the javascript error that's being reported in that screenshot?

And not that it really should matter - but what's the double forward-slash about in your URL - and does that have something to do with the javascript error?
