    • damn,

      i woke this morning, walked out onto the yard... and what do i see... fire!

      this house got burned bad.. right across the valley from my flat... whipped out my camera...

      tiny pic attached




      ... this is the water cooler right?

      the first fire engine arrived 20 minutes late... fireman jumps out... scrambles to pull out the hoses, flicks the pump switch and...
      ..nothing.

      pumps broken.

      calls a second fire truck... arrives 10mins later... pump is working ... but they cant find a fire hydrant. drive all around the block looking for the hydrant... untill a bystander points out that its underground... under a concrete slab just outside the burning house.

      ..eventually they got the fire under control.

      ... just another day in fiji
