I'm getting no where with this on the Joomla.org forum, so I thought I'd post it here where the feedback is normally 1000x better.
I'm looking for an audio/music component.
Our site does about 3 different weekly internet radio shows, you might call them podcasts.
I want to create a photo gallery type storage system (category/file) which counts listens (views) and uses something like the 1 pixel player.. I need to be able to link to audio files both on my server and off.
XE-MusicGal seems very close, but it really is more of a flash music player/juke box type thingy.. of which there are hundreds of flash music file players with playlists.. but none a gallery type.
Anyone use anything else or seen anything else ?

I've never seen any third party component with that exact functionality.
You need to keep searching the JED over at joomla.org, and if that fails, consider having someone code it for you, i.e., someone at joomlancers.com or someplace similar. - Thanks,
