    • Watch out for dynamic width.... I have seen a LOT of sites that use dynamic width and their images and content looks messy and faulty on high res monitors 1920X1200 for instance.

      For text only dynamic width is cool, but as soon as you insert images and flash applications things start to fly around and look kinda odd...

      Oh well..

    • Personal blog will default to fixed, which I have reset to about 900px wide. I'll probably open it a bit more. There's now a left sidebar, which will stay mostly whitespace. This blog is almost all text.

      On the other site, I'll go with fixed wide.

      No perfect answer, is there? As you said, "Oh, well." ;-)

    • Yes seems its common to use least 1024

      gamers like myself and my clan members mostly use that resolution and some of us like me use and again some gamers I know use
      1280x1024
