Where to add HiStats Code in my template?

  • Where to add HiStats Code in my template?

    • I would like to use HiStats' hidden counter to track my site usage. They gave me the code like this:
      <!-- Histats.com  START  -->
      <a href="http://www.histats.com" target="_blank" title="free website hit counter" ><script  type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
      var s_sid = xxxxxx;var st_dominio = 4;
      var cimg = 0;var cwi =0;var che =0;
      </script></a>
      <script  type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://s10.histats.com/js9.js"></script>
      <noscript><a href="http://www.histats.com" target="_blank">
      <img  src="http://s4.histats.com/stats/0.gif?xxxxxx&1" alt="free website hit counter" border="0"></a>
      </noscript>
      <!-- Histats.com  END  -->

      Where should I place this so that it will be executed every time any page is visited? Note: I have disabled the footer in my site.

    • You could create a module out of it, maybe in the footer position. Just copy paste the code into the HTML editor and it shall start working instantaneously. :)

    • Tried to create a custom HTML module but joomla would "clean up" some of the codes that it think unsuitable / unsafe. (I just learnt how to disable this in the article manager, but no such control in Module manager).
