That is a really great idea. I would love to have someone do that for me, alas i have to do it for myself ;D
As you may have deduced, I am of similar age to the age that you are targetting about. The idea of a personal kind of myspace is briliant. I have a myspace, as well of most of my friends, but, as you said earlier, hacking and such is ripe in myspace which makes me less prone to venture along that line.
I really hope that it goes down well and ill have to have a little play around with UHP2 - sounds interesting ;D - James Spencer / Developer & Support / Hull, UK

I'm glad to see the thinking heading towards 'personal myspace' sites.
I had been thinking about that for some time, as I slowly had everyone in my family get their own domains over the years.
And, even though I've been trying to tell friends to think ahead (grab their children's names), they don't seem to understand. So, I started a site to try to explain it better: http://www.GetMyFamilyName.com
It's just a simplified explanation of the benefits of a personal web address, which I hope will just get some people thinking about it.
Maybe by 2010, the general non-geek public will start to catch on. -

I resent that geek statement ;D
I believe that day is closer than we realise. It is only a matter of time before the fall of myspace is upon us. Everyone and anyone will know someone with a bit of a Web orientated mind who would love to take up the challenge. I always find that in areas such as myspace, people want more control to further individualise their bit of "space". Personal websites for a relatively small group of people is the way forward.
I just cannot wait for extensions that make this more of a reality. The addons as of yet are a bit behind, but hopefully that will change.
