    Component install not working

Posted 16 years 1 month ago
    • Hello,

After I upgraded a site from 1.0.15 to 1.5.9, I cannot use the upload/install feature.

If I unzip the component and upload (via FTP) it to the /tmp directory and install from there, it works. The /tmp directory permission is 777.

      Any ideas on this one?

      Thanks!

      -Fred

    • Ok, I just upgraded to 1.5.10 and still no luck. :-( I will scour the Joomla.org site for further solutions, if I find anything I'll post it. If you find something first, let me know.

      Thanks!

    • Update: I tried installing a module and it worked. Then, a plugin, that worked too. So, I tried a component. It worked! I didn't do anything different. :?: I looked for a 'puzzled' smiley, this was the best I could find.

      Thanks!
