Open Questions - Closed Database

  • Open Questions - Closed Database

    • I would like to put a box on my Frontpage where anyone can ask a question concerning my project. Once they hit enter, they would recieve a notice that a reply will be coming within 24 hours and their question will go into a database that only one persone will have access to. He will forward the question to one of the team members who will directly reply to the questioner. That reply will go into the database attached to the question. The only people that will be able to see the entire database (or forum) will be internal only... no one in the public will have access to it.

Any ideas on an extension or whatever that I could use to do this?

      Thanks

    • JEM knew this was coming:

      www.fabrikar.com

" He will forward the question to one of the team members who will directly reply to the questioner."

You could easily set it up to do this, too...no sense in going into the db and having a human forward the question to someone; let Fabrik work out all those modalities. ;)

      RSForm!

Not sure RSForm! can pull this off, sir, but it has been awhile since i played with it...might have to revisit it.

With Fabrik, however, you can create an entire tracking system with the questions, to whom they were forwarded, and the appropriate responses/follow-ups...and you could even create a calendar to show when they submitted or replied to, chart out the average length of time from question to reponse, etc, etc, etc.... ;)

Now that sounds good and just what the doctor orders: :)

"RStickets! is the most advanced Help Desk ticketing system for Joomla. Compatible with all Joomla versions, RStickets! enables you to Add Departments with custom ticket fields Add Groups of permissions for your staff members Distribute the tickets automatically to your staff(load-balanced) Front-End ticket management by staff members Clients can see their tickets and update status Clients can open tickets without being registered."
