    • I've read on several posts that I simply need to add Analytics code to the index.php template file. Is that it? Does that really track ALL website hits or does it miss any?

      I've noticed before that Google Analytics only captured a subset of traffic/visits shown in my control panel traffic stats.

      How reliable is it to simply add the Google Analytics code to the template index file?

    • The plugin mentioned above is the best Google Analytics Plugin/Module for Joomla. Works great and I started receiving data within a few hours.

      Yup. That's it.
      How reliable is it to simply add the Google Analytics code to the template index file?

      So far, with all the sites that I've made (both 1.0 and 1.5) Google Analytics has been very reliable in tracking all of the site pages.

      I guess I will just continue to add it to the template file. The Google Analytics plugin appears to work only on 1.5 and most of my sites are 1.0.x.
