  • Where are the phpbb3 support forums?

    • Hi there

      I just got a membership to phpbb3 and assumed i'd see a support forum after i joined up but I can't locate it.

      I need help installing the phpbb forum software with the template I downloaded.

    • thanks - i did so and still nothing. could you paste a link to the phpbb support forums?

      My question is when using rokbrige to link my joomla site and the phpbb forum, can Bridge Path phpBB3 Path be the same, in my case "forum". That seems like the obvious thing to do, but i may be missing something.

    • Things are currently being moved over to the RocketTheme site from the RocketWerx site as far as the forum is concerned.

      The other links mentioned work fine though and you can still reach the documentation.

      As for having the bridge and the forum reside in the same directory...no, this is not possible.

      i have 800 members in my PHPBB3 in sub folder under rockettheme.
      Everything is Ok in joomla configuration:
      This image is hidden for guests.
      Please log in or register to see it.


      And ok in PHPBB3
      This image is hidden for guests.
      Please log in or register to see it.


      But no one register are share.
      Joomla have just 3 members and PHPBB3 with 800.

      Any idea why?

      Hmmm, documentation is incomplete:
      There are no setting required to turn off or on, bridged mode or synced mode. Both happen on the fly and depend on the entry URL for the forum, more info on that see below.
      But I am at the bottom of the page.

    • If you installed phpBB3 in the directory "phpBB3" and then you access your forum by the url "mysite.com/phpBB3", you are in synced mode.

      If you installed phpBB3 in the directory "phpBB3" and the bridge in the directory "forum" and then you access phpBB3 by the url "mysite.com/forum" you are in bridged mode.

      If you choose the menu item in your Joomla Admin backend of RokBridge, you are using Bridged mode.

      That's what it means when it says "it happens on the fly". You can visit both urls, there is not setting in the backend for this.
