    • To Paulo Roberto Santos,

Joomla and phpBB3 only sync when the user actually logs in. If you had current users, then installed the other system and RokBridge, then you need to wait until each user logs in for their information to be brought over to the other system.

It is recommended that you use Joomla's registration and Forgot Password system as phpBB3 does not have an active call for Joomla to recognize if you use theirs.

So, where can find SEF configuration documentation?

      Regards

Just use the "Bridged" mode and then set in the RokBridge component to use SEF.

As far as the intricacies of how it works, it's still RC with new versions coming out so that might just be a short wait.

I'm pretty sure it's being looked into for a new version soon though.

ps. My forum "locks" on frontpage with options enabled, so, would like to read something about to find possible solutions.

    • Hi, Ben. Thank you for you help.

So, if i understand what you said, so in any configuration i should get all 800 members in pbpbb3 to joomla, right?

So why this not happens??? Why Joomla stiil have just 3 members?

      thank you.

Check this category of the forum:

and then, when in doubt...use synced mode!
Will check thread, but can not understand last sentence.Ben Lee wrote:
People give waaaaaay too much emphasis on SEF, especially with a forum and many times SEF actually confuses Google's bots.

Patience for a resolution may be the best bet here.
Patience, I am using forum without SEF from december. I do not like very ugly URLs of PHPBB. It is not Google problem. Would like to have nice URLs, human readable, usable. Not fvanything=*#^$*&@ what is worst system I have seen.

    • You can always try a MOD like this for SEO...

      http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=691165

...but it looks like it's buggy.

SEF is something people want for a forum but it's not always a feasible thing. Think about how many topics are on this forum and how many different permutations of easy to read words that would be. Then to keep it constant and reliable through updates phpBB3 and bridge software.

I know the consequences of using SEF URLs. So will use SEF when it will come from one of reliable code sources, as RT for example. Would like to know, what some options are for. Asked question about documentation missing then.
Running forum with 10k+ users and know, it is possible to create usefull SEF URLs, and there is no problem with missing alphabet.
