Menu system that allow modifying other menus besides the regular ones.

Lets say I don't have all the style knowledge to create a nice css dropdown menu or the time to accomplish that is too short. I know you can create a lot of menus with joomla. Also you can create modules for that.
For example: I have an module x for some component, and this component X has 5 menu itens. I would like to add some style to that.
I can go throught css end make some elements for that and apply some class to the module.
Thats one way. The other way is to find a menu system that would modify the menu itens for that module. Is there any???
