    • As templates vary, you'll need to post this question in the forum for the template you are using.

You can also search or post in joomla.org for general guidelines.

      JoomNewb,

That wasn't a 'short answer' but adding a new Module position is not like adding a new Module position that's already defined.

It depends on what positions already exist and exactly where you want the new position to appear.

Open your site, click on View > Page Source and you will see by scrolling through that the template positions are listed top to bottom. A new position has to be placed inline according to where you want the Module to appear.

That being said, the procedure for adding the same new position to Beez, MilkyWay, JA Purity, or any other template, RT or otherwise, would be different.

Along with that, there may be some additions to the template.css.css.

If you can grasp the basic concept of adding a position, and creating and adjusting if necessary the css to have it display properly, you can give it a go.

If not, you need to post in the forum for you template and specify where you want the new position to appear.

Usually these requests are something like:

I want to add a language selection Module to the toolbar
I want to add an extra Module position to the header
I want to add a Module position below the breadcrumbs
I want to add a Module position between the xxx and the xxx

      Etc., etc...

For best results, an accompanying screen shot with notations really helps out anyone who'll be trying to assist you.

      HTH.

      Cheers!
