Execute javascript code from a mod_custom module

Hi,
I'm working with a new template and need to execute some javascript code when a module is showed.
Is there possible to do that ?
Is there a way to put the javascript code directly in the module content?
The code would be executed when the page is loaded.

JEM, thanks for your quick relpy.
jumi seems to be a good extension for my needs.
But i would want to understand better joomla and i'd like a lot if you give me an example of personalized mod_custom, in wich some code (php/javascript) can be execuded.
If this is not possible to do, then i go to use jumi.

Sorry, I don't have an example, but MANY members have used this extension to do what you want to do and have reported great success.
