User adding to specified categories

Anyone know of a component (free or commercial) that can configure a user, registered if need be, to be able to see only categories specified to them when adding articles on the front end.?
There are several I have looked at but none of them are able to block the viewing of all categories that are in the Joomla install. Eg I want them to see news/latest but they can see all news, faqs, rokstories...every single created category that exisits, no matter if its special or whatever group.....
