    Forums Navigation?

Posted 15 years 11 months ago
    • This has eluded/bugged me for years now...
When you search these forums...and you find a thread you'd like to read........ and you click on that thread and see it's not the one you need...
How do you get back to the list of items that came up in your results? The back button leads to a page that has to be refreshed. The link back to the forums you were searching leads to the index of those forums, requiring a new search.
Am I missing something?.. a link somewhere?

    • It's the way phpBB3 works.... bugs me too.....

I right click and open the thread in a new tab or window leaving the search results intact.

I just keep opening up new tabs or windows until I find what I need. :o
    • Thanks,

    • Ok... thanks. I kept thinking maybe it was me...
So in the phrase "the way phpBB3 'works"" - 'works' is just a figure of speech. :D

    • Here's the phpBB explination of why this is and how it can be changed if you're curious. On a forum of this size though, I'm sure it just isn't efficient or wise to try this...especially when future updates come along. I'm getting used to the "right click" technique myself :cheesy: .
