Since it seems to be easier to become an editor than to get the good ol' boys to add your site to DMOZ nowadays, I took at look at the Yahoo directory, as for many keywords, I can't get past 4-5th in the SERP and ALL of the sites ahead of me are in the directory.
So wondering how many of you fork out the $299 clams for inclusion? I think it's total BS, but I am starting to think you have to pay to play.

Seriously, though, I am noticing that most of my sites that are on the 1st page are mid-way down and always behind the clowns in the directory...and some SEO circles swear by it, so was wondering if others are jumping in on the action and noticing any benefits.
I see deep-pocketed Mr. Miller isn't playing; perhaps he would test my hypothesis and see if it boosted him another notch after a few months.
