Need a plugin for auto-resizing pictures.

Well...it takes a lot more time than just uploading the picture and let a script resize it to a spesific size.

That's exactly what PS does - automatically!
After you tap in your target size, it runs through every image in a given folder, resizes them and places them in another folder.
All you then have to do is upload that folder. Not difficult and highly productive.
Don't knock it until you've tried it!

you can create a new file on your server
test.php
with this content:
<?php phpinfo();?>
when you call this file via your browser
... domain/test.php
you should see whats on your server ...
Joomla uses the gd-library ...
Edit: you can get it in joomla>help>systeminfo
