I'm sorry, this is going to be a lot of words, but please, please read.
Like written in another post, I'm doing this site conversion for an acquaintance.
He wants his old site's functionality i.e. the five menus with color at the top, to be the same in this new Joomla version. The old site uses static content and some scripts from a program called DHTMLMenu from sothink.com, it seems from the js'es. Not very handy to customize content that way in Joomla.
The main issue is that he wants all these different colored menus at the top, the more the merrier. Problem is that most sites uses one main menu at the top and one at either side. That doesn't do it for him.
I can't make five or more menus under the main menu. I've tried both free and commercial extensions, but they either can only do one line of menu, are hard to customize or doesn't work with all the nice RokStuff I use.
I tried to use menu items at the top in the main menu and dropdowns for the links, but he wants everything visible "in the face" without clicking needs.
The bottom line is, have anybody seen something like his old site done in Joomla?

- Opinions? That looks quite hideous :cheesy: You could hardcode this into the template, with all the menu links hardcoded, loosing the functionality and flexibility of joomla.

I've told him, but it's his page, and he's the decision maker.
I've thought about the hardcoding, but as you say, I don't want to loose the functionality and flexibility. - Regards,

I have looked high and far for a menu mod to do this, and haven't come across one, but there is another road possible that I have not tried yet.
Yootheme Zoo allows as I understand it to install another menu mod and that will maybe enable you to do it.
Another option in that respect is k2 from joomlaworks.gr

I have looked high and far for a menu mod to do this, and haven't come across oneKinda good to hear.
I've squinted at the K2, it seems worth a closer look before I can dismiss it, or not. - Regards,

Roeland, if you like to know the outcome of this, I can tell you that I managed to convince the guy to use a "normal" layout for a modern site, ie one menu at top and maybe a side menu.
In this matter, the MooMenu menu with three or more drop down columns did the trick.
