    changing styles section to section (ex: rockettheme.com)

    • I am building the site with 2 completely different objectives and would like to differentiate those with different styles - similar to what you have here at rockettheme.com.

      Your Joomla!Club link will show website in "red style" while Extentions link will show in "blue style".

      Is there a simple way of doing this?

    • I followed the instructions listed. However my template "versatility III" doesnt have any language files.

      "7. Now you will need and copy some language files
      a. RENAME
      i. templates/newtemplate/en-GB.tpl_rt_solarsentinel_j15.ini
      ii. templates/newtemplate/admin/ en-GB.tpl_rt_solarsentinel_j15.ini
      b. TO
      i. templates/newtemplate/en-GB.tpl_newtemplate.ini
      ii. templates/newtemplate/admin/ en-GB.tpl_newtemplate.ini
      c. THEN COPY
      i. templates/newtemplate/en-GB.tpl_newtemplate.ini
      d. TO
      i. language/en-GB/en-GB.tpl_newtemplate.ini
      e. THEN COPY
      i. templates/newtemplate/admin/ en-GB.tpl_newtemplate.ini
      f. TO
      i. administrator/languages/en-GB/ en-GB.tpl_newtemplate.ini"

      I tried assigning one of the original templates (ja_purity) to a link in the menu and that worked but the newly uploaded duplicate template doesn't...

      do i need to make additional changes or is there another way.

    • The second link in that thread to the instructions you posted above is for newer templates, from January 2009 forward.

      Since you are using VIII, the instruction in the first post should be just fine.

    • i figured that. when i assigned menu link i changed style in the new template "Default Color Style" to display that page with different style but i do not see a change. do i need to change any other properties?

      - i assigned new template/style to "typography"

      - ja_purity is assigned to "wrapper" link (it works)

    • Not sure if I understand the question, if it's a question, Home is blue, Typography is green...
