Issue - template reverting back to Joomla default

Posted 15 years 10 months ago
    • 2 of our client's sites, both on the same domain, are randomly reverting back to the Joomla default Milkyway template.

The url of the main site is: hwofva.com/ We have set this one back, as its in production.

The second site is: harvardcabinetry.hwofva.com/index.php I left this one 'defaulted' as its not in production, with a index.html placeholder.

The host is Hostgator. We originally installed Joomla with rocketlauncher and ftp.

The other important factor is both of these sites were moved from a different hosting spot, still hostgator, but with a slightly different url. We manually exported and imported each database, moved the files over, and changed all of the relevant settings. We have moved joomla sites before, so we are familiar with the process.

I search hard on the joomla forums, but only could find this post, which does not have a solution: forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=428&t=410758

I have run checks and repairs on both joomla databases, with no issues found. Any help or hints on this issue are appreciated, thanks!

    • I appreciate the link, but I've got some kind of funky database thing going.
