    • Hello, a little problem to solve in my site and I don't understand this issue. To do some tests in the site I created 2 author accounts and published 2 articles. The first article works nice but I can't access the second in the articles page (in backend its alright). I published the article and make it public but I have the message "You don't have access to this content, must logged blablabla..."; I can view the article only when I logged like admin.
I tried many times to fix the problem (deleted article & publish a new one) without success :-[
Someone can help to figure the issue?

    • Hello Franck,

Not sure about your problem, how about trying system-global checkin ?

      Best Regards,

    • Franck,

you are probably another victim of Joomla's inherent ItemID problems. Make sure your second article is reachable via a menu entry, either directly or through a blogsection. If that doesn't help, a URL to look at would be helpful.

      Kind regards,
      Zorro

Yes Arifin, I've already did a global checkin but don't works...

Zorro, there is a menu entry to a category table where are the articles. There is another blogsection published in the left column (left module don't appear in IG template).

This is the link to main page www.iatoo.net
You can find the article Les Tortues Luth in the first module (Derniers Articles). You can access the articles trought the menu Articles -> Liste des articles
The first article called De bons liens retour is working fine
Basicaly, this site is an articles submission for webmasters. If this option don't work properly it's the end!!! :D

    • I had recently the same problem with a site. I updated it in 1.0.12 and it solved the issue without doing anything else !

I see your problem. What version of Joomla are you using?

You have an advanced URL rewriting component running on your site, is it OpenSEF? Try switching it off again, just for debugging, and note down the URLs of the second article that are shown on the links on the front page and in the article list. Do they have an ItemID?

If it is OpenSEF you're using, look in its administration area for the friendly URL www.iatoo.net/articles/soumission-articl...es-tortues-luth.html and note what internal URLs it matches. If there is more than one internal URL, try rearranging their priorities so another one is called from the friendly URL.

I'm afraid what you're facing is a very common flaw with Joomla, it happens to people all the time. On my sites, I actually use OpenSEF as a corrective for Joomla's ItemID problems. With it, you can make sure there's always a functioning internal URL that is called. If it weren't for OpenSEF, I'd have ditched Joomla a while ago. (SEF Advance may provide equally good results for you, I haven't tried it myself yet.)

Very nice site by the way.

      Good luck and kind regards,
      Zorro

    • Thanks for all of you for your response.
I'm running 10.0.11 but I made a total backup of the site and will update to 10.0.12 now. I'm using OpenSEF too and I'll looking for the URL and try to correct it.
I'll post here the result ;)

    • Ok, I turned off OpenSEF and deleted all the url's. Then turned on the SEF component. Seems to be ok now. Just need to see why the inset module disappear now when I open an article :P
      Thanks Zorro ;)
