I am building a website for design students which would require a functionality through which, any student can upload their sketch/ concept doodle for others to comment.
I chose going by Bloggin approach and adopted Azrul's "Myblog" component. Now, I need to showcase at least one of the latest Blog entry with Image on the main page with some provision to go to the "read more" page or post some comments on to it.
Please suggest if there is a better way of doing it.
If in case, the above method is okay, should I use the default Joomla way of showing articles in a blog layout? .... I am confused.

Seems that Myblog has a featured module for showcasing latest entry along with image so I think this should do the trick
- Quick tips::
1) Clear your browser cache if changes dont reflect
2) Provide link to your site to help us help you better
3) Use in firebug

Myblog has a couple of modules which included the latest entry thing also but I have not been able to locate anyone which might have "latest entry WITH image".
Please guide.
Furthermore, I am looking forward to providing the visitors a facility of giving comments over the above mentioned. Any suggesitons regarding the same??

You can probably, use in their integrated comment system - Jomcomment
Also, Please ask their support team for other features. They will be able to guide you better
