    • As you know I use JoomPack to back up my website. I normally put the setting on JPA archive setting. However when I made a backup of one of my sites, the file size is 500 MB.would it be better to put the setting on the zip in JoomPack? However when you do that you get a warning when you are going to backup your website. I don't think you can upload big files within the C panel can you?

    • I think you can 'ignore' the warning....

For big files use your FTP client.

I use the zip option to do regular backups of a site that is 350MB plus, then download the backups with my FTP client.

    • what is a normal rate for uploading in FTP? I know that different providers will give you different speeds but I'm finding that my average download speed is around 3 1/2 MB, however my upload speed is something like 48.0 kB when using Smart FTP. This certainly doesn't seem very much and it takes a long time to upload large files.
