OT: Paypal, encrypted buttons in email?

hi,
nothing to do with rkttheme or joomla, but i was wondering. is it possible to have encrypted paypal buttons sent in emails?
i've always thought this was not possible but a friend argues that it is.

I've gone through the paypal site and they mention that you can generate and use encrypted paypal buttons on websites, but not in emails.
When you request money or send a paypal invoice, only a link is inserted in the emails, not a paypal button.
however, a google reveals all sorts of encrypted paypal button generators.. some claiming you can insert the generated buttons in emails.
anyone else have any experience with this? - Say no to Internet Explorer 6.
