Images from site not showing up in google image search

I'm fairly new to joomla and site building in general, but I'm having a big problem. Searches from our site which has a very unique name do not show up in Google image searches. If I was to type in the name of the site (waakao)(which stands for 'holy cow' in Chinese) non of the images from the site will show up. You will get some images from people that refer to us, but nothing from the hundreds of images that are on ours.
The images ate tagged and though mostly have generic numbered names have some descriptions in them.
We're using the MixxMag template.
Any ideas or clues would be of great help.

I've never known that command but no, that's not what I mean.
If I were to search 'waakao' I want the pictures that were tagged with waakao in them to show up. But they don't.

- I think that your images will show up in Google images if you have good search ranking. As for optimizing your site so images show up, I've never really looked into this and I can't see how it can be done. Giving your images a good title is obviously the first thing to get right. I found the images take a lot longer to mature on the website than your actual meta- heading of an article

- I hear the good titles. Trying to do that but it's not always possible when uploading 100 pix in a week. And we're trying to work on the google rating but it's still at 'Low'. Think it might be JoomFish.

- if you haven't got the page ranking then try and get some links on other websites that have a reasonable ranking, this will definitely help your website show on Google.

Check your robots.txt file.
Joomla automatically sets the images folder to not be crawled by search engines. Delete the line
Disallow: /images
Then google will be able to index the images from the site, and, depending on how you optomize the file name, title and alt text, you'll show up for your keywords - http://www.robertwent.com
