I would like a piece of music to start on site entry!, not sure how to do this, any idea's

But Why???
Unless you site is band site or a DJ site why would you want to force music upon your user??
Many people listen to music while browsing, some of them in the office with their speakers on.
I would not suggest it.
How do you know that your user is going to like the music you are going to play(unless you are a band site, they are coming to listen to music then, or maybe a radio site).
Or if you are a movie site. Then you have the movie theme playing.
But autoplay is always a pain trust me
I dont think it is a good practice to have music forced upon the user when they enter the site.
I still remember I had a client(actually a company that was outsourcing their work to me) who loved the music on qatar airways so much that he wanted that to be playing on his site.
I do not know how the guy(that were dealing with him) got the qatar airways theme, but when he played it sucked so much.
Till today everyone I have played the site to hates the music.
The worst part when having music on your site(when there is no relation at all)
Is especially when you do not put a stop button on it, or the user cannot find the stop button, or you put it on every page so every page the person clicks the music loads again the first reaction is to close the window of the site.
If the user has not got an opportunity to see if your site has got what he was looking for he is just going to the next result in his google.
So be careful, my two cents.
if you are hell bent on putting music I used a mp3 to swf convertor, you have some free ones that have good skins with play and next button and then just load it as a flash(very useful if you just want to load one tune) try to get the one that is very small has a just a play button and a live equalizer going up (also has auto start options)down so that it attracts your users attention and he can switch it off if it is disturbing him.
Try to restrict the player to only the home page
