hello just typed my url into google and when it loaded up the searches it showed mine but with the joomla description, so i was wondering if this could be changed?

How long is it since you added the particular description you are looking for?
If at some stage you uploaded your website with the Joomla description still in place, then it may just be a case of waiting for Google to refresh the page. However, I think that if you put your description in the meta-information homepage article and not in global description in global configuration then the description will not show up on your homepage. I could be wrong, but I've seen this happen before.
