Hi all, the standard comments module for K2 really does suck smelly toes! We wanted to use JomComments as it is pretty cool unlike the default option. But of course like with so many things with K2 there is no plugin / support
So here is a hack - it's not brilliant but it works, you need to disable the comment anchors although not a necessity you could just change the text to something like 'comment now'
I have included two files: Note I did not create these but they work a treat.....
First replace
components/com_k2/templates/default/item_comments_form.php
With the same attached file below (change txt to .php)
The second attached file can be used in the helper.php files for pulling the latest comments this could be used in several ways so that is up to you.
Also not that your templates are probably under /templates/RT-THEME/HTML/com_k2/templates/default/item_comments_form.php
Here is an example of it up and working www.betterphotoschool.com/lightexposure/...ter-effect#comment16 NOTE: We have left the original K2 comments in place as it is only a few articles and a few comments.
