Cool Flash Menus for Joomla?

  • Cool Flash Menus for Joomla?

    • A while back when the website flashblocks.com started the creator made a custom flash menu for his Mambo website using amfphp. He posted the files and information on how to create the menus.... I thought it was cool, but didn't download the info then... Of course now I have a client who will want similar animation and sound on rollovers and I can't find any other method to create such a menu. And the files are no longer posted on the FlashBlocks site!

I can build menus in Flash, I just don't understand the amfphp part and I'm not sure if I want to start learning about it! Does anybody have information on how to create a similar menu with rollover animation and sound? Any info would be appreciated!

      Thanks!

    • How often is your client's menu going to change?

If the menu is going to be static, then don't even worry about it, just build the menu in flash.

If the menu is going to change a bit, then you have some work to do.

Here is a link for a module that encapsulates flash: extensions.joomla.org/component/option,c...nk_id,856/Itemid,35/

I have been meaning to play with it, but have not had the time. Depending on how facile you are with code, you might be able to take a look at supersucker, and see how it "sucks" the standard menu into a javascript menu. You could no doubt use a similar technique to suck a system menu into a flash menu.
