    • I'm looking for some advice on the best screen capture software to buy. I downloaded the trial version of Snagit 9 and that seemed to do pretty much what I want although I think you're fairly limited with a trial version, i.e. adjusting the size of the video.

Would appreciate people's thoughts on this as I really don't want to pay too much money, I made that some of them can be more than £100

    • There are heaps of freeware and shareware screen capture programs around. You might check out some of the offerings at places such as snapfiles.com. I use one called ScreenHunter - only because I want to capture rectangles only.

Ok free one if you can't justify $ for a more professional one.

      camstudio.org/

Is not too bad either but both seem to be getting a bit dated.
    • Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

    • Myself - I'm a SnagIt user... I've found it to be very effective for all my needs, especially with capturing more than just what's visable on the screen (ie an entire webpage including "below the fold")... although there is plenty of Freeware out there... I'm more than willing to pay if it means having a few extra bells and whistles...
