I'm looking for some advice & input. I have been asked to do a website that includes various elements. Most of them are very straightforward but there are a couple that I want to run by you and ask for some advice on what components I should use.
A page with sign up details for new sailors and downloadable forms
A page and sign up details for new volunteers and downloadable forms [probably the same as above]
A members directory that is only accessible via password.

extension called Docman is good for download/upload of files
you can set up the member's section with basic joomla, just create a seperate menu, and set it to display on pages that are displayed after a person logs in, set permissions to "registered only" I think...I'm just about to try doing that myself tho, so someone may have some more light to shed on that process !
