I'll definitely be adding some Magento sites from our members to the showcase area soon, some real nice ones being worked on at the moment.
There are quite frequent updates to Magento, but usually it's not such a big deal to upgrade, and we have some very in-depth tutorials in our Magento forum on things like that, which have helped a good few members manage their upgrades to date.
Regarding the video tutorials, I tried to find a good compromise on screen size vs file size, as some of them are pretty long, but perhaps next time I'll make them a little larger.
