Does Rockettheme plan to convert to phpBB3?

- the answer is simply we dont have a date... there are a number of outstanding issues that need to be resolved before we can make this happen. They don't all relate to phpbb either.. it involves moving the entire club to a whole new platform (joomla 1.5, new club code, new bridge, new phpbb3, converting users to joomla 1.5, converting forum to phpbb). It's very complicated, and taking way longer than I could ever have dreamed.

Andy, my friend:
I hope you understand that circling a date on the calendar is not the issue. Courtesy and communication are the issues.
In that vein, I thank you for the courtesy of providing an answer that actually means something.
Methinks a little sip from this same bottle would go a long way toward calming the restlessness over on Rocketwerx.

who's restless, all the way back to Mambo days major leaps forward have meant months of refactoring extensions sites.
It is way early in the 1.5 jump especially when you consider that this leap forward is about the biggest ever.
In the meantime there is lots to play with, like the phpbb3 template system. Even if we eventually have a rokphpbb theme club, being familiar enough with it to mod the original tempates will take knowledge, and hey phpbb3 hasnt even gone stable yet.
