      Yes - You are the knowledgable biker dude I was referring to...had to take a closer look at the pic. Anyways thanks for not beating me up for my stupid mistake. See ya.

      ;) No problem Frodo, and seriously, keep posting when you have a question.

      Cheers

    • Frodo_bb,

      This is my first post. I really felt compelled to make this my first post, because I was just astonished at the comments you made in your second post. I would definately have to agree with all of the replies left so far. I wanted to add, though, that you really should do the search before you post. I couldn't believe that you admitted that you post first, then try to find the answer when you don't get a reply. At least put forth a little effort to find the answer first. I always try to find previous posts related to my question and usually can find what I need. I am sure that many of the Rocketteers here learned what they know the hard way and might get a little tired of people expecting them to answer all their questions, and within hours of a post on a Sunday, for the very small membership fee. I honestly am amazed at the value of the templates and the hours of work they are saving me for the reasonable price I have paid for membership. I was also in awe of the tactful way in which they have responded to your post. As a store manager for 7 years, I appreciate how difficult it can be to handle situations where expectations might be a little unreasonable. They showed sincere appreciation for your business and effectively explained, with kindness and respect, their position.

      I actually ran across your post when trying to figure out how to do a similar thing with the menus. If I figure it out, I will gladly let you know, but I do not have any formal training in PHP or Javascript, so it is difficult to figure things out on my own. I also am trying to make a living, but not designing websites, but my website is a very important part of my business and I cannot afford a designer, so Joomla and Rockettheme have been a tremendous help to me. I really felt that after reading this thread, these guys deserve a virtual pat on the back.

      I love you guys!!!! And once I get going in my virtual tour business I will be proud to become an affiliate. Rockettheme ROCKS! :-*

    • Hey guys, back to the original post, I just wanted to let you know that this was a fairly significant short-coming in the original 1.0 series of Joomla. As a simple stop-gap, we (speaking as a prior member of the joomla core team) added an item specific class to all menu items in Joomla 1.5 in the form of <li class="item10">...

      this way you can actually add some specific styling to the 1.5 menus with only some minor css additions. Also it is possible to add somthing like this counter to the 1.0 custom menu code in rockettheme templates as we are rendering the menus ourselves, it was just never done. I'll take a look at what it would take to add for future templates.

      cheers.

    • Thanks Andy!!! This will be a great feature.

      I think everyone knows by now how foolish I felt for this post. I was under the influence of lots of coffee, it was late and I had a stressfull deadline. Under Joomla Law, Section 5- Category 2 - Article 1, there are severe penalties for PUI . That is, "Posting while under the influence of coffee".

      A wise person in this post said that "Time is money" and I guess I lost sight of this. Michelle, I have never posted before searching this forum first and some initial googling... but you are right that I have tried to shortcut the learning process. I know that the Rocket Team MUST be the best because of the support they recieved from their club members. Thats being said, I would like to apologize to ALL the Rocketeers for my comments. I have since purchased a book and actually started digging into the code.
      For the rest of the club members, I would like them to know I have learned my lesson and can assure you that this is the first and LAST time, I will ever hesistate over a Send Button.

    • Yeah, Wingman, I have to say I liked that little bit of humor too. I usually take my frustrations out on my kids when I get over-caffeinated and can't figure something out. ;D But seriously, I didn't mean to be too tough on you, Frodo. The main intention of my post was to let the Rocketteers know that they really are appreciated. I ended up with a black eye for the prom because I wouldn't let a bully pick on my best friend, so I probably should learn to keep my mouth shut too. :D

      And I do think that it would be really awesome to be able to apply different effects to menu items and hope we can figure it out! I too am trying to read more. To be honest though, I am only beginning to figure out what I need to learn and where to start. I do hope you stick around Frodo. You have already shown that you have ideas that are worthy of consideration in the development of new templates! And don't stay up too late reading that book you bought. Sounds like you need some rest. Take care. :)

    • Frodo, I just got back to my site admin to play around a little and thought I would see how it looked to add a small image to the menu item in the menu manager and it actually looks decent. I think you might consider using some sort of little icon like a star or something else that would complement your design. I know I was really hoping to change the color of the entire tab or make it more transparent. Check out my site if you want to see what I mean. Look under "about our tours" and "sample tours". http://hoosier3dimaging.com&nbsp;
