    • I just took the time to post a photo of me and my new buddy. Her name is Pjoska (pronounced yoska) and she is an 11 year old Norwegian Fjord mare. When my body is not cramped due to slumping over the computer, it is out in the cold Michigan air getting exercise with my new pony and loving every minute of it. It has been around 20 degrees F this week but I'd rather be out at the barn than in my house - go figure!

I want to thank everyone for their help. I am switching to Joomla so that "clients" can have a good content management system and I am trying to do as much as I can within Joomla Admin, rather than coding so I really learn its capabilities. I have been out of the website game for a few years and really barely had started my business when I put it on hold for other conflicting time constraints. My first new client is a friend and I am doing her site for free to get practice with Joomla - of course it is taking five times as long as I thought it would!! Hopefully I'll make some money some day to support my horse habit.

    • Hi Friends. I don't post here that much but I love reading the forums. I am in the beginning stages of launching a web design business after 3 years working as an in-house webmaster and my first project using an RT theme (pixel-perfect) was such a success (from my humble point of view - www.woodstockbikes.com ) that I'm sure I'll be back here for more templates.

I love the idea of posting actual photos since the virtual world can be so impersonal. The organization that I currently work for is very international so I often have to work with people remotely on the other side of the world. If I have met them and know what they look like, for some reason it just makes a huge difference over just talking to a "voice" or emailing with an "email address".

So thanks Andy for suggesting this and for helping create such a great community. I agree with what some of the others have said... everyone is just so friendly! I can't stand most forums cuz all da punks talkin like dis.. u no wht i mean? Its nice working with professionals, to say the least.

    • Hey James!

Have fun with your web design business. If your current site is any indication, you'll do just fine.

I completely agree with your comment about having a picture to match a face. I don't interact face to face with any of my customers, so I never really get to know them. I think I know some of you all better than I know some of my customers!

It's nice to have a spot to get answers from people who are professional, but not stuffy.
