yes, on the 1.7, but no on the 1.5s. I used rocket launcher on the 1.5s. But, was told because I was having problems with broken sections, that I ought to not use the rocket launcher, but just use it as a source of file info. So, I installed 1.7 through my hosts cp.
Just so I understand correctly you uploaded and installed Joomla 17 using your Cpanel, right?
You didn't use an automated installer package (like Fantastico) to have the Joomla installed for you, right?
The point I'm trying to make is that neither our Rocketlaunchers, templates or Joomla core itself carry even less install a php5.ini file.

    • I don't know my hosting service uses to install Joomla. But, it had nothing to do with Rockettheme nor the templates. I attempted to install the bundle, but it did not work, so I manually installed them. It did not work either. If there was no php5.ini in the package, then it came from my hosting company's install of j17. I will check with them to verify that is the case.

If your packages do not have a php5.ini, I wonder why it was provided? I know that it broke by J15s and it happened when I installed the J17.

Sometimes a hosters shared account system requirements don't mesh what Joomla and our templates require.
So the hoster instead of changing the configuration of the server and everybody's accounts on it, they will use a php.ini file on your account which for your account will override the global php.ini file.
