Yes I did. You also wrote "my plans have changed" but did not say what they had changed to.

I'd like to get the "Display Mainbody" option to work. That's an option from the theme.
Display mainbody does work. It hides the component so therefore it only works if the page is using 'Featured Articles' option, which most home pages are set to do.

Injecting only works with {module modulename} for me btw.
Sounds like you are using a 3rd party extension such as Advanced Module Manager if you need use {module name} instead of {loadposition name} or {loadmodule name}, which are Joomla defaults. As shown here - docs.joomla.org/How_do_you_put_a_module_inside_an_article%3F

You also need to consider that as most of our templates use padding and margins for containers and blocks you may need to create a duplicate and assign to home page and then edit css accordingly.

Perhaps if you add a screenshot explaining what you want to achieve, with notes to show what you would like removed then we may be able to be more specific with our help.

    • My plans were to assign a module to the home page and then turn "Display Component" off so only the module is shown. But "Display Component" did not change anything. Sorry that I said mainbody earlier, that was a mistake.

I am not sure about what you mean with the featured articles, how would they even affect this? I want the whole mainbody contact to be not shown, I don't understand what this has to do with features articles. My articles are normal K2 items that are shown in blog format on the homepage.

By the way, I just read the link you gave me. It says:
Create a module and set its position to any value that doesn't conflict with an existing template position. You can type in the position value instead of selecting it from the drop-down list. For example, use the position myposition.

Assign the module to the Menu Items that contain the articles that you want the module to show in. You can also just assign the module to all Menu Items.

Edit the articles where you want this module to appear and insert the text {loadposition myposition} in the article at the place where you want the module.

So I'd have to display the module on some position on the same site as the aricle, and only then it works? That would mean that have to display the same module twice, and I don't want that.

    • Hi there,

My mistake  The 'Display Component' refers to Featured Items

The Display Mainbody affects mainbody and sidebars. If you publish anything to mainbody or sidebars on the menu item where you assign the template it may override the setting.

As I said on 30 Sept - Can you PM me with a temporary Super Admin access please and I will take a look to see what the cause may be. Please include the link to this post for ease of reference.

      Thanks :)
