Hello!
I'm experiencing problems on my self-hosted website.
I can't seem to get the custom error page (404) to work. Whenever I enter a bogus suffix, I get redirected to the front page and I don't know why.
I also have trouble getting my URL-redirects in order. I'm trying to redirect my non-www to a www, but this doesn't seem to work in Admin Tools or if I directly alter the .htaccess file in my joomla site directory.
Thanks for the access details - just seem to be missing one important element
How about a URL as I have no idea where your site is

Joomla login didn't work because of an attempt to redirect the non-www URL to a www URL.
I deleted that part of the code in the .htaccess and it seems to be fine for you to login now.
If you have been blocked by the server, please give me your IP-address so I can unblock you.
ok I can login on joomla backend now but FTP details don't appear to work either now?
Regards, Mark.

Please note that the password for FTP is not the same as the password for the Joomla backend.
I have tested the FTP with the username and password that I have provided. This seems to work fine with both FTP and SFTP (port 21 and 22 respectively).
You might be blocked from access if you have tried to enter the FTP unsuccessfully three times in a row. In that case, I need your IP address so that I can remove you from the list of blocked IP's.
I apologize for the trouble and I thank you for your patience.
I notice that Extensions Manager is showing a database problem. You might want to take a backup and try fixing it and see if it makes any difference. I will keep looking for other possible causes.
Hope this helps

Even with debug on and errors set to development I get nothing on front end. Have you edited the main template layout at all?
I set up the non-www to www and seems to work. I also edited the template allowance in admin tools in case it was stopping the error.php from being called.
Caching is currently off to see if that was making any difference. Nothing seen so far.
Hope this helps
