      Did you use a content editor to insert the Flash code?

      What Firefox version though as we can see it in FF3?

      I'm using FF3. The area loads, but when I click play (there is a video file listed in the xml file), I get this error (but it works in IE7):

      VideoError: 1000: Unable to make connection to server or to find FLV on server
      at fl.video::VideoPlayer/play()
      at fl.video::FLVPlayback/play()
      at hype_vid_fla::MainTimeline/playVid()

    • Petra: Have you tried installing the RocketLauncher then comparing settings to see what is going wrong?

      John: I am not entirely sure but make sure that the video being loaded actually exists.

      Yes I did... actually I have to versions running now... I still have no idea what's causing the problem, but working now with the version I installed with rocketLauncher.

      I do have another question: I modified Fireworks files and combined to background themes through CSS - it works fine - but I've not been able to change page-background for different sections /pages... I like to color-code my different sections like video for example having a different color page back ground. How do I apply an entire different theme image to different pages?

      Thanks James.

      Well... let's it "did" work when I installed the complete demo via RocketLauncher... couldn't ding what was different to what I had done... but now the version installed with RocketLauncher has the same problem "AFTER" I tried to apply the module to another page that didn't work... then I simply went back to apply to the homepage exactly as it was before and nada.... can't get it to work...???

    • In your flash video, you may want to use absolute URLs instead of relatives such as yoursite.com

    • Hello!
      I'm also having troubles with the recent videos module, it was working PERFECTLY, then I translated its title, after I saved it, the front page stopped showing the players and started showing only the code, so when I go to the first page of my site, instead of viewing the player, I view the code and that image "get flash player"... can anyone help please???
      I'm using joomla 1.0

    • You will need to reinsert the video code after you disable your editor.
