Yes, I have tried to change the settings via Transmit and I am told that I do not have the proper level of permissions.

Even trying to replace the logo image in a template gives me this:

      Server said:
      Rename/move failure: Permission denied

Error -160: could not start data transfer

It can be due to wrong ownership of the files.

You could try to assign another template as default, uninstall Perihelion and finally, with your ftp client, upload the Perihelion folder directly in the templates folder.

    • I have a what I think is a related problem - when I install the RocketLauncher package for the new Meridian template - after extracting and uploading to the webserver, during the installation process - it immediately informs me that the configuration.php file is unwritable. I cannot find that file - since the installation process isn't yet complete. It says that I can go ahead and install, but that I'll have to copy/paste code into it afterward.

Why is it that the RocketLauncher version immediately presents this problem - when it hasn't even installed yet? Should I proceed with the install, and then figure it out later, or is this some kind of phantom error message that's not really an error message? In other words, could it be that the configuration.php file will actually be writable if I install?

Only one way for me to find out, and I would rather fix it before installation than deal with it afterwards.

      Thanks

    • This is not an issue with the Rocket Launcher, even if you used the standard version from joomla.org, depending on your server configuration, you would still receive this error.

Continue with the install in the end you will have the option to save the configuration.php file and upload it to your server.

(Instructions are in the last page, sorry I don't have them in front of me.)

While 95% of the time the file will be writeable, this option is available because on some servers, when you install, the file is not.

So, after the install, follow the instructions on the last page and you simply upload the the file.
