    What's the difference between 1.5 and 1.0 templates

    • Could someone please explain to me why the need for both? Feel silly asking ask it's probably some VERY simple explanation, but I haven't found it on here.

    • Thanks for the fast reply. In your opinion, is one more secure than another? Is the UI different? I've always used 1.5 so I'm not sure.

      I'm actually taking over a Joomla job and the client had a custom site built in 1.0. I have thought about upgrading as the UI is weird on this (is it because it's 1.0?). Would this be advisable? Would it be difficult to do this?

      Remember that this is a migration requiring a fresh install and a separate database for the new site, so get ready to have two installs and having to move one of them. For the core Joomla stuff, it's not as daunting as it sounds, but still always make full backups!!!
