Administration graphics missing after live deployment

  • Administration graphics missing after live deployment

Posted 15 years 2 months ago
    • Just completed a deployment to a live system. The front end is working great, no problems.

However, when I log into the Administrator backend all of the graphics are missing. When I look at the HTML source, it appears that the source is telling my browser to find them on the local system 'localhost' rather than the web server.

I've read a couple of other posts on this problem, but none seem to be related to my problem.

I really need help resolving this issue for the customer. FYI, the front end is RocketTheme SolarSentinal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The site is www.lakesidecdc.org and is a not for profit community outreach organization.

    • I've checked all files all folders and they are exactly the same as is on another server *test server) that is working correctly.

The issue seems to be related to a global variable 'YOUR_BASE'. I'm wondering if this is a PHP variable that is being read.

    • I'ver installed Khepri Re-AMped and that sort of fixed the issue. I still have move-up move-down and published-unpublished graphics missing even in the Khepri Re-Amped template. This is clearly a template issue with Joomla, but no one from the Joomla forum has responded to my request for assistance.

I memory serves me right RocketTheme's founder built the Khepri template. If there is anyone that knows this Khepri template inside and out I could really use the help.

    • I've checked all of the image directories and there are no missing icons anywhere. Everything is where is should be. The issue seems to be that where they are missing the template is adding "http://localhost..." to where it's looking for the graphic. When my browser gets this markup it's trying to find it on my local machine.

I will send you a screen shot so that you can see where the 'up/down' arrows and 'enable/disable' icons should be there is just text. Weird behavior.

Is there anywhere in Joomla where there is a PHP parameter set or something. It worked fine on two staging servers prior to moving it onto the production server.

    • Amandeep,

Is there anywhere you can think I can get some help on this issue. I am desperate to find someone that understands the core Joomla Khepri administrator template and can assist me with finding out why there are random missing graphics.

I have re-copied the files over many times and in fact that just makes it worse. Files that work fine on one server fail to work correctly when applied to a different server.

It's just the strangest thing I have ever seen and NO ONE from the Joomla core team has answered my request for assistance in 9 days.

    • Yes. Did not make any difference at all. Graphics still missing from Khepri completely and some graphics missing from Khepri Re-Amped. Also some DocMAN icons that are using the Joomla icons are also missing.

I read something about a .htaccess file causing this problem, but I looked for hidden .htaccess files all over the site and could not find any other than the one that I have put in the Joomla directory myself. I've also removed it to see if it made a difference and it did not.

This one has stumped me completely. I re-copied the entire Administrator directory over again last night for the 6th or 7th time and it does not make a difference.

I really need the assistance of whoever put the Khepri template together to figure out why the PHP code is picking up ../ and replacing it with http://localhost.... On the sites that work it's picking up the template css (icons.css) and not changing it at all.
