    • Got it.

      The params.ini was unwritable. So I had to make it writable. Then it somehow got turned unwritable again, by itself, while I'm making the change. So I had to log into the admin side in 2 different windows, make it writable in one window, then switch to a different window and make the changes (turning branding and copyright off). No thanks to what I've done or haven't done, but the problem is solved although params.ini, is now again, unwritable.
